Pennies From Heaven

Had a great time at the Delta Quilters Guild Show over the weekend! My favorite quilt in the show was Shirley Coble and Isabel Maya’s “Pennies From Heaven.”

So beautiful. The design is from Gretchen Gibbons‘ book Pennies From Heaven.

    I do love that pattern and was tempted, but being good and using the patterns and books I have and trying to catch up;)

    It is beautiful, working with wool makes me uncomfortable with the fear of `what if’someone comes along & cleans it someday & the wools frazzle & fuzz or shrink… I know that NO ONE should EVER clean a quilt except in specific & proper ways..but I have been ill & It is a fear of mine that `my’ precious works get handed down..well you know?? I worked in wool years ago & LOVE it. find it so easy & fun because it stays in place vs cotton & other materials, right?
